Knoxville Mold Inspectors
Choosing the right person to inspect and test for indoor air quality is a matter of "Life and Breath". Don't leave your health to chance. There is little regulation in our industry and in Tennessee no licensing requirements for mold inspectors. Many "inspectors" lack proper credentials, experience, tools and knowledge. Beware of the "Mold Inspector" who shows up to your home or office with a Petri dish in hand.
Know Your Inspector:
Volunteer Mold and Indoor Air Quality Inspectors are trained and certified by the National Organization of Remediators and Mold Inspectors (NORMI). Having a background as general contractors, home inspectors and specialized training in Mold and Biological contaminants. Don't settle for less.
Know Our Inspection protocols:
Assessment; We begin with personal interview to listen to your concerns. What we hear provides us with valuable insight to help "connect the dots". The more we know about your health concerns, reactions to your enviorment, and the history of the structure the better we can serve you in the rest of the process.
Agreement; Our agreement on the scope and expectations of the process are discussed and documented to give you peace of mind. "No Surprises". Our fees, the inspection process, lab processing times and the report process are documented for you. Questions answered. Confidentiality assured.
Inspection; Typically we begin with a client / inspector walk through. After we have a general overview of the property we move systematically throughout and look for "Red Flags", which to our skilled inspectors tie in with the Assessment Interview and often times reveals critical details. A bit of detective work and through inspection reveals the big picture. If conditions warrant we may recommend the collection of samples to be sent to the lab for further analysis. Our observations are recorded and photographed for future reporting.
Lab Processing; An independent / state certified lab will process the collected samples. After processing and identification micropist will generate and send us a report with the results.
Reporting; We will summarize our Assessment, Inspection Notes, Photographs and the Lab Processing reports into a detailed IAQ / Mold Report for you. If a problem or concern is indicated we will offer specific methods of corrections. You will decide how to proceed based on the
information.
Know the Lab:
We use an independent lab to culture and examine the samples we collect. EnviroScreening, LLC Labs carefully take each sample along with the Chain of Custody and performs an examination with precision. Many labs treat mold and bacteria as a "side line" business. EnviroScreening, LLC is only in business to process your sample.
